2025 A+B Project "Asia Meets Busan"
International Co-Production Project Call for Applications
Busan Film Commission is organizing the "2025 A+B Project: Asia Meets Busan" to promote the development of Busan's film and visual media industry and to strengthen the competitiveness of graduates from the Busan Asian Film School (AFiS) and the ASEAN-ROK Film Community Program through enhanced international co-production between Korea and Asia. A total of 3 feature film or series projects will be selected and provided with accommodation and travel expenses to support business networking opportunities with film and visual media professionals from Busan and Korea during the 2025 Busan International Film Festival. We encourage many graduates of the Asian Film School and Korea-ASEAN Film Community Program to apply.

III. Eligibility
• Mandatory Requirements:
• Feature film or series project of 60 minutes or longer in development stage.
• Projects must meet one of these Korean-related conditions:
o Include Korean elements (e.g., Korean actors or staff), in which case shooting in Korea is optional.
o If no Korean elements are included, shooting in Korea is required, and Busan must be the primary filming location.
• The project's director or producer must be one of the following:
o Busan Asian Film School (AFiS) graduate.
o ASEAN-ROK Film Community Program graduate.
• Preferential Consideration:
o Projects planning co-production with Busan-based production companies or producers.
IV. Support Details
• Benefits for Selected Projects:
o Support for business meetings during 2025 ACFM
Accommodation for one director or producer (graduate) for up to 5 nights
Support for round-trip airfare and per diem equivalent (1,000,000 KRW)
o Arrangement of business meetings with film industry professionals from Busan and Korea

o Synopsis (max. 1,200 characters)
o Project Intention (max. 2,000 characters)
o Director's Statement (max. 2,000 characters)
o Director's Profile (max. 1,200 characters)
o Other information requested in the application form
• Project Proposal Attachment:
o Information not included in the application such as characters, short treatment, research materials
o Details about locations, Korean elements, or collaboration with Busan-based production companies/producers
o Free format, max. 10 A4 pages
• Proof of AFiS or FLY graduation
VI. Submission and Selection Announcement
• Number of Selected Projects: 3 projects in total
• Submission Method:

• Selection Announcement: Individual notification and website publication (expected in June 2025)
VII. Important Notes
• Applicants may submit only one project
• All submitted materials will not be returned, and information about selected projects may be used for promotional purposes
• If submitted information is found to be false, selection may be canceled
• Selected projects should indicate that they are "Busan Film Commission A+B Project Selected Projects" in the future
• The representative(s) of the selected projects is(are) obliged to participate arranged business meetings
• The amount for per diem and airfare will be paid after full participation in the program and verification of round-trip airfare documentation
